2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on servers located in Germany. Hetzner processes data on our behalf (data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Server log files
When you access the site, the hosting provider automatically collects server log files: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing device, time of the request, and the IP address. These data are used for technical delivery, security and stability and are not combined with other sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the „https://“ in your browser address bar.
5. Waitlist / open-beta notification
If you sign up via the form to be notified about the open-beta launch, we process the email address you provide solely to inform you about the launch. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in every email or by message to the address above. Sign-ups are managed with the self-hosted newsletter software Keila on our own servers at Hetzner in Germany; no data are transferred to third parties.
6. Contact and feedback form
If you contact us via a form or by email, or submit feedback such as bug or feature reports, we process the information you provide together with any contact details you choose to add, such as name and email address, in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual requests, and otherwise our legitimate interest in handling the request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data are deleted once they are no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Web analytics with Umami
To analyse the use of this website statistically we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we self-host (servers at Hetzner in Germany). Umami works without cookies, does not create cross-site profiles and does not store data in a form that personally identifies you to us; IP addresses are not stored in clear text. No data are transferred to third parties or to third countries. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a needs-based design and evaluation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR) at any time. You may withdraw any consent given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
